Solutions Engineer



The Solutions Engineer reports to the VP of Solutions (Head of Sales) and will be responsible for driving revenue growth as a subject matter expert and demo specialist dedicated to our parent company Conservice. Candidates must be able to understand business problems and articulate corresponding solutions based on Goby’s ESG and software solutions. Experience in commercial real estate, ESG and SaaS sales is important. The Solutions Engineer must also be comfortable collaborating with upper management, executives, Account Executives, and the product team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enthusiastically present the value of our platform and full suite of solutions
  • Follow Goby’s prescribed sales strategy to track sales pipeline in collaboration with Conservice Sales Account Executives
  • Identify areas to improve effectiveness and efficiencies with processes, tools and product offerings
  • Articulate and sell to all pain points of a customer by intimately knowing features of our software and solutions
  • Gather customer data to design and build presentations, demos in the Goby platform, and stories/scenarios based on a specific prospect/customer use case
  • Deliver quick turnaround, multitask and prioritize accordingly
  • Join customer calls to support/collaborate with the Conservice Sales Account Executive
  • Collaborate with Account Executives in proving value of Goby’s solution, question customers status quo and uncover our prospects pains
  • Have a deep understanding of the customers’ business need and basic operations/use cases
  • Optimize communication and ensure effective knowledge transfer and hand-offs to support post implementation
  • Implement meticulous task management and time management
  • Attend networking events and conferences as needed, but mostly sell via web/phone

The ideal candidate will have the following professional experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience in a sales engineering, solutions engineering, or technical consultant role (SaaS, Commercial Real Estate, and/or ESG experience preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree with a technical or business focus
  • Experience with CRM (HubSpot preferred) and selling cloud-based or SaaS products
  • Deeply technical with great customer skills, and be a trusted advisor to ensure the success of prospects and customers
  • Experienced and knowledgeable on relevant marketing file types such as PDF, PPT, HTML, etc.
  • A sales mindset and ability to match the Goby value proposition
  • Strong project management, time management, organizational & communication skills
  • Experience in selling into highly competitive market
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving and risk management skills
  • Multi-task oriented with desire to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience
  • Self-starter who can take limited direction and make good decisions in an entrepreneurial environment

  • Base salary plus commission
